Meditation gets a bad wrap. Most people think meditation is sitting quietly in silent room, thinking of nothing. When asked about meditation, most people state that it’s difficult for them to sit still for more than a few minutes..
Well… what I’ve learned in meditation is quite the opposite. Meditation can look different. It can be Dancing, Singing, yoga, or simply sitting with yourself and letting yourself just be. I’ve realized that the form of meditation doesn’t really matter. What matters is getting everything outside of your being to quiet so that your inner being can finally have the time & space to process the knowledge it has gained. You can focus your meditation on 1 subject, or you can simply let your thoughts run freely in your mind. Whatsever you decide, acknowledge the thought. Know that it will not make or break you. What you do when your meditation is done will determine which path you have chosen to take and everything will work out for your good as long as you continue to be and give good into the universe.
That’s what I find myself doing these days. Letting my thoughts run wildly in meditation. Sifting out the negative thoughts, replacing them with positive ones, and anchoring those that best suit the reality that I aim to create. I trust that God is with me in all things, both good and bad. And I choose to align myself to that which is good and well pleasing in the energy of the Most High.
